Marcia Brooks/Various Works (MBVW) endeavors to create sustainable models for presenting contemporary dance.  With stylistic and conceptual variety at the heart of all programing, MBVW attracts and maintains an audience and participants who crave dance as a consistent physical, artistic and/or social outlet.  MBVW productions and events integrate professional dancers, former professionals who have transitioned to alternate careers, parents, educators, dance enthusiasts as well as those who admire dance from afar.  MBVW is committed to creating opportunities that allow quality dance to remain a realistic constant, both personal and communal.  

MBVW has created and presented dance in their home in Greenwich, CT and in New York City since 2008.  MBVW has been presented by Greenwich Academy, Green Space, Sans Limites Dance, The Elm City Dance Collective, Movement Design Studio and has participated in Open Performance sessions through Movement Research.  MBVW began producing their signature MiXt Co. Classes + Performance Project in 2014 and has since presented over 15 seasons of new work by renowned guest artists.
